Welcome!

I am making this blog to chronicle my life as I go forward. I have been napptural/natural for 7 years give or take and am now ready to start my lock journey with sisterlocks. I wanted to start a blog to record my journey as well as to have a place to talk about my passions such as my relationship with my God and friend, Jesus Christ, my wonderful family, my obsession with Haiti, and my amazing friends.

Welcome, I hope you enjoy your stay.

...and after!

Here are the after pictures!
These are right after we'd finished and I had gotten home (the last pic is me in a nightie almost ready for bed! Don't worry, I didn't sleep with it back in a bun like that. I braided it back up loosely, put a scarf on it, and hit the sack!) so I'm looking a little tired. Tomorrow I will show you how I wore it for its big debut at work!

Hey Evelyn,
I saw your post in the Lock-It-Up Yahoo group. I responded to you before (when you still had test locs). Well, congratulations - on your Sisterlocks as well as this blog! I wish I had more patience to blog. (For now I just enjoy all the free tips on loc maintenance and links to accessories and services for loc'd hair lol.)

Anyhoo, your locs look great. Enjoy your journey. -Melita

Thanks a lot, M! I really appreciate that you took the time to post some help to me in my first post!!!

Even if you don't have time to blog it would be nice to see some pics :) I always find it fascinating to see black womens' hair and all the different possible textures. And its neat that you are newly locked as well.

How are you enjoying yours?
