Well I've been learning a lot about locs and sisterlocks online throughout this process and one thing that I knew I might encounter was the phenomenon called "bunching". I was also told that I would experience "budding".
Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems as though "bunching" = bad and "budding" = good.
Well, I've definitely got something going on here and it started by, like, day 3 of having these locs in so I'm thinking its probably "bunching" and not "budding". Hmm.
So what is going on is that at very near the end of some (many) of the locs the hair has become a large mass. I'm not OVERLY concerned except...won't that make it very hard for retightenings? How are they gonna pull that mass through the tiny opening?
Well, have a look ladies and let me know what you think. I know the pics aren't great, they're taken by my phone!

That is consider bunching. Your consultant should be able to fix that with no problem =). The bud or little balls forming at the end of your locks are a sign that your locks are maturing.
Did you figure out why your locs are doing this, what have you done to stop this from happening.
